Thanksgiving 2009

Well, I was way too busy the week of Thanksgiving to take pictures.... unfortunately! After our ultrasound, we went to my brother's school during his lunch hour for a traditional Thanksgiving meal and it was sooo delicious!

We spent Thanksgiving at my parent's house and another delicious meal!!!!!!!! After the meal, we went with the Hyatt's hiking.... 4 adults and 3 kids and the kids (including Daniel on his daddy's back in our hiking backpack) did amazing! Then we came back home, ate again and hung out until really late. I thought about meeting up with some friends to do Black Friday shopping but I was too tired!

The greatest thing about the holiday was that my husband was off for 3 days straight!!! Wohoo! We didn't set our alarm clock one of those mornings and just enjoyed every single minute as a family! Our tradition is to decorate for Christmas on the Friday after Thanksgiving... and we did just that! Our house looks so festive and it makes my heart happy to see all the lights, smell my favorite Christmas candles and listen to my favorite Christmas music on Pandora!

This year we had an incredible helper! He LOVED decorating the tree... except his idea of a perfectly decorated tree is 150 ornaments all on one branch and no ornaments on the top branches! LOL!

Even Max was in the spirit of the season! He wants to send a special "Thank You!" to his cousin Lucy for passing down her "puppy" wardrobe as he enjoys her clothes a lot including the Santa's helper shirt he inherited! hahaha!

Friday night, we met up with my parents to go to to the Tempe Light Parade... so fun! Daniel loved putting his hand out for all the candy and we enjoyed delicious Starbucks during the parade! He refused to wave to Santa... he is NOT a fan of Santa this year! =)

Ultrasound... Round II

Monday morning, my mom came with me to see our little baby girl... this time she cooperated perfectly and we got a face shot as well as all the brain scans and imaging that they needed and they said she looks perfect! Then we met up with my dad for lunch at a new Vietnamese restaurant in Chandler!

Tuesday... we went to one of my play group's favorite hang out spots... the Toddler McDonalds! This place is great because the kids play so great which means that the mom's can get some talking in=)

Thursday night... the BNI Chapter that I am president of had our Christmas party and it was sooo fun! I have to say that everyone had a blast and really enjoyed themselves... the food was amazing too! So bummed that I didn't get any pictures!

Friday night, my parents, my sister-in-law, and Brendon went to see Joel Osteen at the Jobbing.com arena but there was no way that I could take Daniel out that late and expect him to behave for an event. My friend Tammy hosted a party at her house to make Christmas package tags so I brought Daniel over and put him to sleep in Tammy's guest room! Daniel was a trooper and did awesome with the putting him to sleep in a foreign room then getting him up to drive home very late and finally get back in his own crib!

Saturday morning, Daniel went with Daddy to Lowe's for the kids workshop and they made a wooden Gingerbread house!

Then we went to Samantha's 2nd Birthday party at the Little Gym... what a great party! Daniel had so much fun!

Right after the party, we drove to Casa Grande for the big parade as our Casa Grande church had a BEAUTIFUL float in it and we were all in the parade! I have never been in a parade before but it was tons of fun! We were giving our glow sticks - there were over 20,000 people watching the parade and we got MOBBED by kids wanting our glow sticks! Daniel LOVED waiving to everyone and screaming MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures but there are tons on other people's Facebook accounts.

We are having a.....

That is right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are having a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am starting to cry again just thinking about it! I had NO IDEA I would be soooooooooooooooo excited! This is one of the best days in my life and I am so excited to get swallowed up in pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, my daughter already has some of her mommy's characteristics... STUBBORN! The ultrasound tech got some amazing shots but she REFUSED to move her head so they could examine her brain and face... I think I have bruises on my stomach from being pushed so hard but the whole time they were pushing and punching me.... she kept her head in the exact position! So, I have to go back next week for another ultrasound.... actually I think she knew her mommy wanted to see her again so she did this on purpose!

Kai's 2nd Birthday Party

Our friend Kai moved to Peoria this past year so his party was at a park in Peoria yesterday. My friend Tammy picked Daniel and I up so we could carpool and we all had a great time at the party.... they had a huge BBQ with so much food!

I only got one picture from the party because I was chatting away with all of my friends and running after Daniel the whole time but Kenzie and Daniel found lollipops and I thought it was soooo adorable!

School Concert and B-Day Party!

Friday night, Daniel spent the evening helping Auntie Leigh Anne and Uncle Aaron (his favorite person in the world right now!) put up their Christmas tree while we went to my brother's Choir Concert! I am so impressed with his school and he LOVES it!

The above pic is of me AND my baby bump! YEAH! I was almost 20 weeks here... tomorrow I am officially 20 weeks which means I am half way! YIPEEE! We also find out the sex of the baby tomorrow morning at 9:20AM.... I don't think I am going to sleep tonight as I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited to find out! Brendon and I are going to post it on our Facebook accounts to make the official announcement! So, Stay Tuned!

The Zoo and More!

Monday... I went to my 19 week pre-natal check up and everything is looking great! After the appointment, we met our Church Playgroup at Bounce Jungle and I love this place! Daniel burns so much energy that he just crashes and takes the longest nap after!

Tuesday... we were supposed to meet some friends at a storytime at the mall but we missed them somehow! We went to part of the storytime but Daniel was not that interested in it so we hit up Stride Ride and the food court!

Wednesday morning, we went to the Biltmore area to get my parent's anniversary gift... we also hit up the new Pet Boutique that the AZ Humane Society just opened. Daniel and I fell in love with these 2 poodle/ Schnauzer mix dogs and I almost adopted them but then I thought about what my husband would do with me... so, I didn't bring them home=(

Thursday morning, we went with our friends Kim and Kendall to the zoo and we had SOOO much fun! We did the exhibit where you pay a little extra but you get to feed the giraffes... it was sooo cool! These giraffes have the most AMAZING tongues... I LOVE the way they feel! Daniel loved the giraffes but he was too scared to feed them.

Friends and Christmas!

Thursday, we went with our friends Tammy and Libby to the Hamilton Storytime then we took the kiddos to the new Toddler McDonalds for a snack and to play... I think I have mentioned these two before but they LOVE each other and they play so good together! They are always hugging/ wrestling but it hardly ever turns into aggression or crying... Tammy and I always hear lots of laughs and giggles when these two get together... it is so sweet!

Saturday evening... we went to the Borgota with our friends Nate and Janelle and their 2 kids to a Christmas Event! YEAH! They had Pictures with Santa.... Daniel doesn't want ANYTHING to do with Santa but he loved his wife...Mrs. Claus! She had an awesome story time!

We all went on the horse carriage ride with our Starbucks Hot Chocolate!

They lit the tree and it was magical! They also started blowing snow right after and it was a great night!
