So that night I was supposed to be packing for our trip to California the next day but let's just say that I had the worse FLU of my life! The highest fever, chills.... then as I was packing, our electricity went out in our house because of a huge storm!

We made it! Our beautiful room at the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point, California!

The first few days we were there for a conference and our besties Hannah and Jacob were there as well!

While we were away, Katelyn had her 6th BIRTHDAY! Don't worry we had a fun birthday party planned for her when we got back and Grandma and Poppy were spoiling her as well!
Our original plan was to stay at the Ritz all week but it was actually freezing in Dana Point so we decided to rent a car and drive to Palm Spring and stay at a gorgeous JW Marriot resort as it was warmer there!
On our way, we found a South African restaurant to have lunch at!
On our drive there, we saw these windmills and we had just explained to Daniel about this so I took this pic for him!

They had this guy there who had a hawk and his job was bird ebatement - to keep the black birds away from the pool and the guests!
I also decided this was the time for me to figure out false eyelashes - the MAC counter was great!
For our last night, we decided to drive back to the coast of Southern California and enjoy a sunset walk on the beach and an amazing dinner!
Back to our reality - and I LOVE IT!

I actually went back to work (joined the staff at Fusion) in January and this is Mair our nanny.... she put a pony in Grace's hair!
